RIAU, KNKS – Sutan Emir, the Director of National Islamic Finance Committee (KNKS) was invited as a speaker in The International Seminar of Islamic Economics as one of Iqra Annisa Shariah Economics Festival (ISEF) 2019 series that held by STEI Iqra Annisa in the University of Abdurrab Pekanbaru, Riau, on Monday (29/04/19).

The seminar themed The Strategy of Islamic Financial Institution in Facing Challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0., was opened by Governor of Riau who was represented by Chief of Community Welfare Bureau under The Riau Government Secretariat and Head of Iqra Annisa Foundation as well.

There are also other speakers such as the Representative of Financial Services Authority (OJK) of Riau; Head of Domestic and International Partnership Development Group – Bank of Indonesia; and Head of Sharia Center of Excellent – Maybank Islamic Bank Malaysia.

KNKS realizes the importance of technology optimization in developing Islamic economy and finance in industrial revolution era. “There are 4 out of 10 KNKS’ main programs that utilize technology. They are: Zakat Sharing Platform, Microfinance Sharing Platform, Halal Marketplace, and Sharia Digital Payment System.” said Emir, the Director of Islamic Financial Education and Research of KNKS.

Emir emphasized that KNKS as the catalyst of Islamic economy and finance enhancement will synergize with all elements of Islamic economy and finance ecosystem.
